Ten nights in Kos with family

Five adults, two children and one island that gave us sunshine, Greek food and a boat day we still talk about.

From 28 May to 7 June 2026, our group of five adults and two children spent ten nights in Kos. We chose an all-inclusive stay at Kipriotis Hippocrates Hotel and used it as our base for the holiday.

Travelling as a group of seven meant balancing different ages and interests. Kos gave us a straightforward all-inclusive base, time to explore and a standout day on the water.

The three-island boat tour

The clearest highlight was our three-island boat tour. The day included seeing dolphins and swimming in the Aegean Sea—two moments that made it much more than simply another excursion.

For our family, it was the kind of experience that justified leaving the resort for the day: time together, new scenery and a memory that everyone could share.

Greek food was part of the holiday

We loved the Greek food. An all-inclusive base kept the practical side simple for a larger group, while being in Kos still gave us the flavours and atmosphere that make Greece feel distinct.

That combination worked for us: an easy base for ten nights, with memorable experiences away from the hotel when we wanted them.

What we would change next time

We would leave space for a full day in Bodrum. It is reachable by boat from Kos Harbour, but we did not fit it into this trip. That is the clearest addition we would make if planning the same ten nights again.

For anyone considering it, check the current ferry schedule and travel-document requirements before making plans, as these can change.

Our honest summary

Kos worked for our mixed family group because the holiday did not depend on doing something complicated every day. We had an all-inclusive base, enjoyed the Greek food and still came home with one genuinely special shared experience from the three-island cruise.

Would we change anything? Yes: next time, Bodrum gets its own day.
