This disclosure explains how Further From Home may earn commission from future provider links, how those links will be identified, and what commercial relationships mean for the four travel ideas you see.

1. The current position

Further From Home is currently a travel-discovery and planning service. Its provider booking buttons are not yet active, and this version does not earn affiliate commission when you search, open a result or save a trip.

This page is being published before commercial links are activated so the rules are clear from the beginning.

Plainly: no current destination is shown because a flight, hotel or travel company has paid for its position.

2. What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to an independent provider that contains information allowing the provider or its affiliate network to identify that the visit came from Further From Home.

If you follow an eligible link and complete a qualifying action, such as making a booking, the provider may pay Further From Home a commission. The provider decides whether an action qualifies and how attribution is measured.

Further From Home will not add a separate fee to the provider’s price merely because you used an affiliate link. The provider remains responsible for the final price and booking terms shown on its website.

3. How commercial links will be labelled

When affiliate links are introduced, Further From Home will identify the commercial relationship clearly at or near the relevant link or button. Wording may include:

another equally clear label suited to the placement.

This full disclosure page will provide additional detail, but it will not be used as a substitute for a clear notice beside active commercial links.

4. Rankings and editorial independence

The current four categories—Best for Your Family, Best Value, Biggest Adventure and Dream Stretch—are generated from the search information, destination data, budget comparisons and available price information used by the website.

A provider’s ability to pay commission does not guarantee that provider or destination a place in the results. Further From Home will not describe paid placement as an independent recommendation.

If sponsored placement, promoted results or another commercial factor is introduced later, it will be clearly labelled and this disclosure will be updated before that feature is activated.

5. External providers and bookings

Using a provider or affiliate link takes you away from Further From Home. The external provider controls its website, availability, live price, booking process, payment, cancellation policy, customer service and delivery of the travel service.

Your booking contract is with the provider named during checkout, not with Further From Home. An affiliate relationship does not make Further From Home the airline, accommodation supplier, package organiser or payment processor.

Always review the provider’s full price, baggage, room, meal-plan, change, cancellation, refund and insurance information before booking.

6. Prices and comparison limits

A commission arrangement does not guarantee that a provider offers the cheapest price. Live prices can change, planning estimates are not bookable quotations, and another provider may offer different availability or conditions.

Check the provider’s final total before paying, including taxes, fees, baggage, transfers, resort charges and other extras. The Terms & Conditions explain how live prices and planning estimates are presented.

7. Tracking and privacy

Affiliate links may contain a referral identifier. After you visit an external provider, that provider or its affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology under its own privacy and cookie notices.

The current Further From Home build does not use advertising or affiliate-tracking cookies. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice will be reviewed before any new tracking technology is introduced on this website.

8. Sponsored content, gifts and future changes

Further From Home does not currently publish sponsored destination placements or paid reviews. If money, free travel, discounts, gifts or another benefit materially influences future content, that relationship will be disclosed clearly with the relevant content.

This disclosure will be updated when providers, affiliate programmes or commercial features change. The latest version will appear here with a revised update date.
