1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Further From Home website and its holiday-search features. By using the service, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Further From Home is an early-stage travel-discovery service based in Ireland. Questions can be sent to hello@furtherfromhome.ie.

2. What the current service does

You provide a budget, departure point, travel dates, trip length and party details. Further From Home uses those inputs to rank four destination ideas and show planning information, which may include:

The service is intended to help you discover and compare possibilities. Results are not a personalised recommendation that a particular trip is safe, suitable or guaranteed to remain within budget.

3. No booking or payment contract with Further From Home

The current website does not sell flights, accommodation, package holidays or linked travel arrangements. It does not take deposits, card details or other payments, and it does not confirm reservations.

Viewing a result or opening a trip breakdown does not create a travel-booking contract with Further From Home. A planning total is not a quotation or promise that the complete trip can be purchased for that amount.

Important: this position must be reviewed before Further From Home activates bookable accommodation, combined travel sales, payment collection or any journey that may create a package holiday or linked travel arrangement.

4. Prices, estimates and availability

Availability, exchange rates, taxes, baggage, seat selection, resort charges, transfers, tourist taxes and supplier fees may change the final amount. Always check the provider’s full price and conditions before booking.

5. External providers and links

Future flight, accommodation or activity buttons may lead to an independent provider. That provider controls its website, availability, final price, booking process, payment, cancellation policy and delivery of the travel service.

Some future provider links may be affiliate links. If you use one and complete a qualifying action, Further From Home may receive a commission from the provider. The Affiliate Disclosure explains how those commercial links will be labelled and how they relate to the site’s rankings.

If you choose to book with another provider, your booking contract is with that provider under the terms shown before you complete the purchase. Read those terms carefully, including baggage, changes, cancellation, refund, insurance and complaint arrangements.

Further From Home is not responsible for the content or security of an external website, but this does not limit responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

7. Families and children

The service is designed for an adult organising family travel. A parent, guardian or responsible adult should use the search and review any result. Children should not submit information, contact Further From Home or attempt to make a booking on their own.

Age-based suitability is general planning guidance. The adult organising the trip must check provider age limits, supervision rules, room occupancy and activity restrictions.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, introduce malicious code, attempt to bypass security or access restrictions, use automated traffic that harms the service, or use the service for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose. Reasonable access may be restricted where necessary to protect users, providers or the website.

9. Website content and intellectual property

The Further From Home name, original wording, design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial holiday planning. You may not copy, republish, sell or commercially exploit a substantial part of the service without permission.

Supplier names, logos, images and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners and may be used under licence or other lawful permission.

10. Availability and changes

Further From Home aims to keep the service useful and accurate but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Features may be repaired, improved, suspended or withdrawn for security, maintenance, supplier availability or business reasons.

Material changes to these terms will apply from the updated date shown on this page. Changes will not remove rights or remedies that already apply under law.

11. Responsibility when things go wrong

Further From Home will use reasonable care in operating its own discovery service. It is responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of its breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care, subject to applicable law.

The service is provided for personal holiday planning, so Further From Home is not responsible for business losses such as lost profits, lost revenue or business interruption. It is not responsible for a supplier’s change, cancellation, insolvency or failure to provide a booking made directly with that supplier.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.

12. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how information is used when you search or contact Further From Home. The Cookie Notice explains the Saved Trips browser storage and the site’s current cookie position.

13. Questions and complaints

If you have a problem with the Further From Home website, email hello@furtherfromhome.ie with enough detail to investigate. Further From Home will aim to respond fairly and within a reasonable time.

A complaint about a flight, stay, activity or booking made with another provider should also be sent directly to that provider using its complaints process.

14. Irish law and consumer rights

These terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have mandatory protections under the law of your home country. These terms do not prevent you from using a court or legal remedy available to you under applicable consumer law.
