This notice explains the cookies and similar browser technologies used by the current Further From Home website—including how Saved Trips stay on your device.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website may place on a computer, phone or tablet. Cookies can remember an action or preference, support a requested function, measure website use or help deliver advertising.

Websites can also use similar technologies such as local browser storage. Local storage is not a traditional cookie, but it stores information in the browser and is therefore explained in this notice.

2. What the current website uses

When those actions occur on Further From Home. The collector does not set or read an analytics cookie and does not create a visitor ID.	No analytics cookie or local-storage record is created. Aggregate events are written to ordinary service logs for the period those logs are retained.
Metricool website traffic	Measures public-page visits, pages viewed, approximate country and traffic sources.	A JavaScript request to Metricool runs when a public page loads. Metricool says its website tracker does not set cookies.	No analytics cookie is stored by this tag. Browser privacy controls may block the request; see our Privacy Policy for data-processing details.
Google Analytics measurement cookies `_ga`, `_ga_*`	Measure page views, overall site use and limited events for completed searches, partner-link categories and contact email link clicks.	Only after you choose Accept Google Analytics. The Google tag is not loaded before that choice.	Duration follows Google tag settings. Rejecting or withdrawing via Cookie settings stops further Analytics collection and future tag loading, and removes these cookies where the browser allows.
Google Analytics choice `ffh_google_analytics_choice_v1`	Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional Google Analytics.	When you choose Accept or Reject in the consent panel.	Stored in local browser storage for up to 180 days. Change it with the Cookie settings button or clear this site’s browser data.
Essential delivery and security	Allows the website and its hosting or security systems to deliver pages, protect the service and prevent abuse.	Only where technically necessary to provide or secure the service.	Any essential storage should last no longer than needed for its technical purpose.

Google Analytics cookies are optional and are set only after you accept. The site does not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing.

3. Optional Google Analytics and your choice

Google Analytics 4 measures page views and general site use. After you accept, it also receives generic events for a completed trip search, a partner-link click (category only: accommodation, activity or flight), and a contact email link click. Those events do not include search values, destination, the email address or message. It uses measurement cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, along with page and device/browser information, to report website activity. The page path and referrer sent by our tag have query strings and fragments removed, so holiday-search details such as dates, budgets and children’s ages are not included.

The Google tag is not loaded until you choose Accept Google Analytics. Choosing Reject Google Analytics keeps it off. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of the page at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Rejecting prevents the tag from loading. Withdrawing after accepting stops further Analytics collection in the current page and prevents future tag loading; the site also removes Google Analytics cookies where the browser allows.

The first-party product-event counters and Metricool website-traffic request are separate and are described in the Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is not used for advertising or remarketing.

Your choice: Google Analytics stays off unless you actively accept it. The cookie and privacy notices remain available whether or not you accept.

4. Duffel and external providers

Flight searches are sent from the Further From Home server to Duffel. The current search integration does not embed Duffel’s website in the page or allow Duffel to place a cookie through the Further From Home page.

If you later follow a booking or provider link, you leave Further From Home. The external website may use its own cookies and similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie notices.

5. How to clear Saved Trips

You can remove a single saved trip using the Remove button in the Saved Trips panel. You can remove every saved trip using Clear saved trips.

You can also clear local storage using your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Clearing it removes the Saved Trips list from that browser. Saved Trips are device-specific, so a trip saved on one device will not automatically appear on another.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and other site data. Blocking essential storage may affect a requested feature. Browser controls are separate from controls offered inside the website.

Further From Home cannot control cookies placed when you visit an external provider’s website.

7. Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated when the website, hosting setup or technologies change. The latest version will appear here with a revised update date. Optional cookies will not be activated merely by changing this notice; appropriate website controls must also be implemented where required.
